Khuda Ke Liye - In The Name Of God....This soundtrack & movie was released in 2007. This is a Pakistani Movie soundtrack, and its one of my Fav. I'm a fan of Pakistani Music for last 4 years, thier music was brought to India By Bhatt Brother's.
Pakistani artist before use to sing one or to song in an Indian film or release a Pop Album. But this is for the first time in India that a Pakistani Movie & Soundtrack was released in India & it was huge Success there. But this is not the case only with India, Khuda Ke Liye is succesfull through out the globe.
I would write about the movie soon, once it is there on Dooyoo.
i'm familiar with most of the Pakistani Singers but i dont know much about the singers from this Soundtrack.
Music of this soundtrack is given by Mark Berlin for original songs & remix verson is done by DJ Suketu and DJ Aqeel.
Lyrics are by the Writer & Director of this Movie Shoaib Mansoor.
Singers : Ahmad Jahanzeb, Khawar Jawad, Javed Bashir, Kamijee, Shuja Haider, and Lagan the Band.
There are 10 tracks in the soundtrack, including the remix version as well.
1) Khuda Ke Liye(title song):
For me this song is the best song in the soundtrack, and infact it is the Best Song. The music & lyrics of this song is just great. When i heard the song last year, i was just amazed by the lyrics. Frankly speaking i have not heard such good song, with so much depth in it for a long time. It is beautifully sung by the singer. The meaning of this song is dont do wrong things in the name of god, if you understand Urdu or Hindi then you would really love this song. It describes god by various name, one line in it says ' Khuda Toh Rahim Hai, Karim Bhi Hai, Mein Kaise Maan Lun Ki Bas Jabbar Hai'. It means that God Is helpfull & Mercifull So why should i belive that he is Just a Punisher.
this song is so true for todays world where people do wrong things to Human Kind in the Name of God. I'm sure you all will love this song. I personally listen to this song 5 to 6 times a week.
2) Bandeya - this song has three version in this soundtrack, Sufi version, Remix Version & Rock version.
Sufi Version:
This song just catches you the time you listen to it, its hard to understand the meaning of the song in first few listen as its sung in sufi Language. But you still like it from the first time beacuse of the Music & the way it has been sung. The meaning of this song is also really very good. I love this song very much, but i most of the time listen to the Rock version of this song.
Rock Version :
This is Sufi-Rockversion of the song, this song has aa very good tune with a great pacing which makes you listen this song again and again. Although the original sufi version is sung a male. In this there is a female voice as well. But Male voice dominates the Songs, the female voice which comes in between and sings the number in English giving it a western mode. This song is featured in the movie as well which goes very well the Movie.
Remix Version :
The remix of bandeya has been done by DJ Suketu, and it once again Suketu delivers what you expect from him. In this version the female Voice comes early then Male voice making it more western. This song is also good to listen.
3) Allah Hoo -
This Song has to version, Sufi & Remix version.
Sufi Version :
Well this song is dedicated to Allah, the lyrics & the melody of this song is very good. It relaxes you so much once you hear this song.
Remix Version :
Full marks to DJ Aqeel, he has done a very good job. To remix a song which has the name of God in it, and make it a dance number is not an easy job. But he has done it to perfection. I like both the version of Allah hoo very much. One make you relax and the other one makes you to tap your feet.
4) Janie Janie
This is a love song, which i wont say is outstanding, but it is a good song. And this song is totally different from the top three mentioned. You will feel this song is more like an unplucked version with not much of instrument use in it. The lyrics are well complemented by the soft vocals.
5)Tiluk Kamod
This is an indian Classical song, and it has the base of Raga'Tilak kamod'. This song will be loved by people who like Classical Music & are fond of it. The one who understands classicla music will appreciate the work done in this song. But for people like me who are not much classical it wont be that great, but one thing assures you will like to hear it once atleast.
6) Mahi Way
As the song starts it gives you an idea that it will be a soothing song. But then comes a female voice and sings line in english followed by a male voice with painfull rendition. It has indian classical touch to it & western as well which makes it a good fusion to listen. So this song is worth for yout time. I loke this song and do listen it some times. As its almost a year for me when i heard this soundtrack.
7) Hamaray Hain :
This song has English & Hindi Lyrics and it has a feel more of a Pop song rather than a Movie song. It is youthfull song. It keeps your feet tappping & inspires you more to do something. this song is also worth having in your collection.
8) Duniya Ho
Its a party song with English & Hindi Lyrics in it. this is laso the last song in the Album. With Indian & western music mixed in it makes you feel nice and make it more of a bollywood number. this song makes your feet tap. A nice song to end your Album with.
Khuda Kay liye album is a must in your collection if you listen to hindi songs. I'm sure you all love the songs once you hear them.
Most of the songs have so much depth in them and gives meaningfull messages to the public who can learn some lessons.
You can get this soundtarck at Amazon and other Music places and price can start from £11. But its worth of your every penny.
Summary: A Must Have Soundtrack in your Collection
