Must admit, I never originally saw the genius of the ‘Clause. I bought their debut “See This Through and Leave” and listened several times, thinking, “Hmm, well that’s pretty good”. It then got whacked in the middle of my CD collection and ignored to for ages, until a now ex-boyfriend started raving about it and I wondered if I was missing something. Turns out I was. The Coopers debut album was a blistering, raw inferno of experimentation, post-teenage hormones and infuriated screaming fits. It took its time to grow on me, but now it’s among my favourite albums, one of my ‘desert island discs’. It’s ... Read the complete review

On the 11th February 2002 a new band released their debut album on an unsuspecting audience, that album was See This Through And Leave and now a year and a half after that debut the Coopers have released what in my opinion is one of the best albums in my collection. The Symmetry Of I The Circle Of O - And Oceans
Upbeat, atmospheric and surprisingly accessible black metal.
Second disc may disappoint, and the whole thing isn't quite as experimental as you may expect.
My Kantele - Amorphis
Interesting covers and a more prog/folk side shining through.
Acoustic version was already on the album, and the rest isn't brilliant.
Morphogenesis - And Oceans
If you don't own the studio albums, this is some great symphonic black metal.
Basically inferior versions of album material, sold for a quick buck.
Far From The Sun - Amorphis
A bit of a seventies throwback, if you like that sort of thing.
Boring, disappointing and annoying.
Cypher - And Oceans
More coherent than 'A.M.G.O.D.'
Abandons black metal for weak industrial.
Am Universum - Amorphis
Good enough atmospheric rock.
The dullest Amorphis album so far.
A.m. G.o.d.: Allotropic/Metamorphic Genesis Of Dismorphism - And Oceans
A band moving forward.
It looks like the wrong way.
A Natural Disaster - Anathema
The sadness returns.
Overlong and repetitive as usual.
