First of all, I want to tell you that I'm a 16 year old german girl.. on this way I want to improve my bad ,bad English...
Here is my statement:
With their first album "KILL 'EM ALL"(1983), Metallica started being the greatest metal band indeed (they won 3 gremmys yet).
The style, suitably to the that time popular NEW WAVE OF BRITISH HEAVY METAL, indicates itself mainly by speed and Trash constituents.
The vocals are a special feature . Who hears the frontman Hetfield in the today's days (e.g I DISAPPEAR) , that would not belive that this is the same singer who produced this "screaming" on Kill'em All.!
Cliff Burton was to that time still with Metallica (he unfortunatey died in 1986) .. he was the "bass God" under the Metal Freakz, particularly compared with the today's Metallica bassists Newsted (evenly bass, no more and does not play fewer... more)
For everybody who likes the Metallica disks like the Black album, load or S&M and , however this deboutalbum should be required with caution, because what is presented here is without doubt CULT,... goes however into (somewhat) a different one, unusual direction. Result: A cult album which was an important constituent of the Metallica development and genuine Speed- and Trashmetalfanhearts leaves more highly to strike ´.(comparable: Saxon, King Diamon.. but no band is really comparable!)
