The album has moved away from the Muse influenced 1st album and although ... more ... there are still undertones of the first album there the style is totally different. It seems to be a slower pace and a more peaceful melody that still has the edge that the first album had in abundance. There are hints that they were heading towards the self pitying sound that a lot of bands seem to have these days, but thankfully they seemed to steer away from it just in time.

After 2 years the highly anticipated 2nd album from Easyworld was finally released. I say highly anticipated but I can probably count on one hand the people I knew who were waiting for it. The delays to Kill The Last Romantic made it all the more important that it was a better album than the 1st. This is in no way an easy task as This Is Where I Stand was one of my favourite albums of 2002. The Eastbourne band promised a more political feel to the album. This was due to it being written and recorded almost in its entirety back at the start of the Iraq conflict.
