'I Killed My Family' features surprising clean vocals and melodic guitar elements alongside the typically harsh elements, but once again there's still the short, shar...more

Rating:

I was a little disappointed by this release from Brutal Truth for lacking the band's usual variety in favour of a more exclusively grindcore influenced style, but considering it's marketed as a low price E.P. despite boasting as much content as many grind albums (even taking into account the eight or so minutes of silence that bulk it out to thirty-three), it's easily enjoyed as a marginal release between more substantial efforts. Superb live versions of metallica classics with a diffrence Little bit too much Orchestra sometimes, not often though

Heavy Metal - 2008

The best metal/hard rock album in time? maybe Allegedly ''the sell out album''

Surprisingly varied and superior death-grind. Falls into repetition after a while.

Emotive and intense post-metal with a great performance from Julie Christmas. Becomes repetitive and a little tedious, causing the effect to diminish.

Distinktive guitar sounds, excellent drumming, amazing vocalist still £15 after 4 yearsnot always in the mood for it

Through The Ashes Of Empires - Machine Head
Return to form, after the nu-metal deviations. Same problems as the second album.

The Reason - Hoobastank
Great album with loads of great songs None

The Pistol - Sounds Like Violence
A greatly emotional album which makes fantastic use of the guitars. Not for those that don't like screaming vocals.

Solstice Rise - Whitmore
Some decent tracks present on the album. A little inconsistent and nowhere near as good as the band were live.

Light Grenades - Incubus
Beautiful harmonies, great songwriting, catchy, good vocals from Brandon Boyd. Experimental DJing tracks are absent, sounds softer, may not appeal to all Incubus fans.

Hellalive - Machine Head
Heavy Metal - 2003

Every Man For Himself - Hoobastank
Grunge - 2006

A Crow Left Of The Murder - Incubus
Some undeniably killer tracks that you will get stuck in your head There is filler and too much repetition, could sound a bit too much the same

Steal Your Soul With Rock 'n' Roll - Route 215
Some exceptionally catchy tracks. May not appeal to everyone.

The Blackening - Machine Head
Some decent guitar riffs, good lyrics Flynn's vocals are on the poor side
