      Twelve heavy hits.

"Killers" is an album released in 1982 on Phonogram Records by American hard rock band, Kiss. Band members appearing on the album were Paul Stanley (vocals/guitar), Ace Frehley (guitar), Gene Simmons (bass/vocals), Eric Carr (drums), Peter Criss (drums), Bob Kulick (guitar) and Anton Fig (drums).

With eight tried and true favourites and four new tracks, "Killers" was released as a boost during a low point in Kiss' popularity. It was decided to feature only harder songs on the album, in contrast to the progressive rock music that was featured on "Music From 'The Elder'".

"Love Gun", from the album of the same name, is a heavy song with an almost pop like chorus. Thundering drums and power chords from the guitars and bass make it a sure thing for hard rock fans. Written by Paul Stanley, he also plays bass and provides lead vocals.

"God of Thunder" was originally on the "Destroyer" album. Sound effects for this song include screams, children screaming, audience noises, explosions and the sound of clapping. All the sounds add up to give the feeling you are listening to the God of Thunder performing for you.

From "Dynasty", "I Was Made For Lovin' You" was written to show how easy it was to write, record and have a hit with a disco song. Because it leans more toward hard rock than disco, it has a definite Kiss feel to it.

Definitely an album for any rock collection, "Killers" offers some of the very best Kiss songs on one album. I'd recommend it for anyone wanting to hear Kiss, or expand a music collection.
