Advantages: Stunning Album

Disadvantages: ...

I was so uncertain as to which Michael Jackson album to review, and Im not even sure if I've already reviewed one in the past. One thing is for sure thoug, which is that Michael Jackson is the King of Pop. For me this album is his ultimate greatest hits album. With 3 CD's you cant go wrong and you know that all his legendary tracks are going to be there. OK there may be the odd personal favourite missing, but with this guys music it was always going to be impossible to make the ultimate album that will please everyone.

CD1 is the more commercial stuff he released and contain some of my favourite tracks of all time and what made this guy so great. Is there really any point me defining his tracks to the core, and talking about why I love each track, as surely everyone here would have heard his music. However I can simply say that my favourite tracks from this first CD are They Don't Care About us, Smooth Criminal, Beat It and You Rock My World.

Moving swiftly on to CD2 and this contains the slightly less commercial yet still supremely awesome tracks. By this I mean that you may still recongise some of the tracks, but the average person will have no heard every track here. However the fans will know every track of Jackson's and hence love this CD as well. My favourite here are Give In To Me, Dirty Diana, Blood on The Dance Floor and Who Is It. What this CD shows is that Jackson is so very versatile and can create any type of music. His music doesnt age at all and still sounds as modern now as it did decades ago when it was created.

So now finally CD3, this is a remix CD, with an alternative version of most of his tracks. Nothing particular sticks out here, as its hard to remix tracks that are already amazing, but I guess sometimes if you want a bit of a change, these remixes can provide some entertainement.

I once had an argument with a slightly deluded friend who thought Usher was better than Michael Jackson. Whilst I respect Usher as he makes great music, is it clear there will only ever be one King Of Pop. RIP

I love his music, just not him. I got told about his death via a text and it was a joke about him and gary glitter. If you thought we went nuts about his death, when I was in the states, on the news, they were still talking about it :D Brill review. Kirsty x
