Set The Tone - Nate James
by danball - written on 21/04/09 (Very useful, 68 readings)
Rating:
British soul singers whose talent allows them to even get a record deal, let alone a deal with one of the majors so the fact that Universal signed Nate James before he had even released any solo material made a few people in the industry take notice. Nate had previously provided backing vocals for the house anthem Lola s Theme by Shapeshifters but other than that, nothing of any real note. Interesting take on the thrash/death mix.
Style becomes repetitive.

Excellent live performance, great chance to hear rare songs.
B-side material is mostly (and inevitably) forgettable.

Getting there.
Still in the shadow of other bands.
Feind Hort Mit - Stahlhammer
Some great songs
Requires a certain mood

Failed attempt.

An excellent EP which blends brilliantly the genres of pop punk and indie.
The sound created here is not always particularly original.
Grotesque Impalement - Dying Fetus
Fun, dark, heavy, creative death metal.
Cover material is uninspired.
For All Tid - Dimmu Borgir
Great historical atmosphere and melody.
Grating clean vocals, and fairly primitive execution.
