Jamie T's last album Panic Prevention in 2007 was easily top on my list of albums. His music is catchy yet original and comes across as a rough street lad but pulls off some clever lyrics, tunes and impressive verbal skills. His style isn't rap, isn't grime and isn't singing. Kind of a modern cockney poet fresh from the fight. This unique style and absolutely amazing first album, where you can listen to it through, not get bored and know every word, seems impossible to follow up.. but he seems to ahve done it again. When I first heard that Jamie T was releasing a second album, I was skeptical to say the least. I loved his debut, 'Panic Prevention' and honestly did not think he could top it with Kings & Queens. Well, I was very wrong to be skeptical, this album is the best I have heard so far this year. Though not as good as Panic Prevention, this album is still brilliant, and still far more original than anything else released recently. Jamie T has a brilliant way with words, and really portrays what he is singing about with brilliant 'real world' metaphors, that paint a picture.
