Advantages: Great tracks

1977 - the height of Kissteria in the US and the year of release of the second live KISS album. After the success of 'Alive', I guess they felt the time was right to release a second volume that captured the raw energy of the latest KISS experience that was the Love Gun Tour. This includes a stunning array of classic tracks, mainly from the 'Love Gun', 'Rock n' Roll Over' and 'Destroyer' albums. Side one is probably my favourite with 5 excellent tracks. Opening with 'Detroit Rock City' leading into 'King of the Night Time World, 'Ladies Room', 'Makin' Love' and 'Love Gun' - What an opening! Side four sees 5 new studio tracks which are, again, classic KISS, though none of them made it as singles releases. 'All American Man' and Ace's 'Rocket Ride' being the highlights. Much has been made over the years by critics saying that the album relies heavily on studio overdubbing added at a later stage, but I can't see it myself - it just sounds great! When released, this was another chapter in the KISS biography and now it's another album that goes down in music folklore along with its live predecessor. A must-have album for any self respecting KISS fan and a good opener if you're new to KISS. Go Buy and play loud!
