Dark Side Of The 80s
by FairyWBO - written on 30/11/03 (Very useful, 175 readings)
Rating:
When I saw this sitting on the shelf in Tescos I simply had to have a look. It wasn't the lovely purple cover, or the weird looking bloke on the cover that grabbed my attention. It was two words.... Darkside & 80s! Looking at the track listing on the back I discovered, to my delight, it was like looking through my old singles collection. Obviously a few duff ones and ones I had never heard of where there, but they paled into insignificance besides the classics that I could no longer listen too (my turntable broke along time ago and since then my singles have just sat in their boxes feeling unwanted) awww :o( So I popped it in my shopping basket and couldn't wait ...

Hairbrush Divas Party
by yummy87 - written on 19/01/04 (Very useful, 340 readings)
Rating:
very high voice, manages to bring life to this song, and the track begins with him moaning before the introduction of the music. Kissing noises can be heard at Various points during the song, which is a fast paced track, and is really made the stonker it became, by the wonderful voices of the backing singers. ?It?s raining men? by The Weather Girls, again takes us back to the early 80?s, and is another fast paced track, which opens with the sound of thunder, before the music soars upwards, reaching a crescendo, over which the sounds of the female vocalists can be heard, before they begin singing. Their voices are soulful, and have hints of Aretha ...

Pop Party 1
by AmyAmy - written on 08/08/08 (Useful, 181 readings)
Rating:
This CD is the first album in the POP Party collection; a CD aimed at youngters, packed full with fantastic songs for the untimite pop party! This particular album has a total of twenty three tracks, some old and some more recent to the date of the release. Older tracks include Who Let The Dogs Out (Baha Men) and Barbie Girl (Aqua). Some are newer, such as Sundown ( S Club 8) and Year 3000 (Busted). I couldn't pick just one track, but some of my favourite songs include Sundown (S Club 8), Las Ketchup with the Ketchup Song, and Sound of the Underground (Girls Aloud). This is a great album, aimed at kids, but for big kids too! It's perfect for parties too, and ...

Products similar to Kiss Me Kate - Soundtrack
Vii - At Vance
More fast and slow power metal with an even more substantial eighties touch.
Disappointing change of direction, with less focus on neoclassical guitars.
Yes: Expanded And Remastered - Yes
The first album by a great group
Its actually terrible.
Worlds Collide - Apocalyptica
'Last Hope' is good, thrashy, old-school Apocalyptica.
The band is all too happy to abandon its identity.
Volume 8: The Threat Is Real - Anthrax
More experimental and fun than other mid-to-late-nineties Anthrax.
Still nothing like the good ol' days.
Time And A Word: Expanded And Remastered - Yes
Better than the first with some great relistenable tracks
The unique Yes style still not shown through
The Yes Album: Expanded And Remastered - Yes
A new line up with superstar Steve Howe and a new approach to songwriting
Sometimes it just doesn't work - this isn't 100% masterpiece
Stomp 442 - Anthrax
Groove metal fans may enjoy it.
This is horrible.
Sound Of White Noise - Anthrax
If you're desperate for more generic early-nineties hard rock/grunge.
Doesn't sound like Anthrax, and John Bush doesn't impress.
Eclipse - Amorphis
Skilfully combines the band's disparate styles under a talented new singer.
Over-reliance on slow, gothic rock pieces becomes tiresome.
Plays Metallica By Four Cellos - Apocalyptica
Fantastic take on some classic Metallica songs.
Shame the album is only 8 songs long not 88.
