This particular CD features all of the songs from three of his mid-1960s films: KISSIN' COUSINS, CLAMBAKE, and STAY AWAY JOE. Even among the dross of many of the movies I have to say that these 3 are amongst the worst, and the same is true of the music. There are some nice songs - the title track to KISSIN' COUSINS is fun, and THE GIRL I NEVER LEARNED is a nice listen. During the 1960s Elvis Presley made a great many forgettable movies - this was a period where he seemed to just walk through his work, with little effort put in. This is no surprise as many of these movies leave a lot to be desired and were very frustrating for Elvis as he had always had dreams of becoming a respected actor. All of his films had him singing, often pretty mundane songs. This particular CD features all of the songs from three of his mid-1960s films: KISSIN' COUSINS, CLAMBAKE, and STAY AWAY JOE.
