Advantages: 17 tracks

Disadvantages: a bit 'harder' :)

Considering the Manics said themselves they would make a single album, then split – they ain’t done too bad. There last album was pure quality, and I had my doubts whether this would live up to its predecessor, but thankfully is does.

With a whopping track count of 17, there certainly no lack of depth in terms of quantity, and there is also nothing missing in terms of quality, with a number of cracking tracks making this a very good album indeed. Tracks such s “Why so sad” and “Found that soul” are just the tip on a very enjoyable iceberg that I would have no hesitation in recommending, as this CD has given me many hours quality listening.

I’ve seen this CD for sale for as little as £11.50, and for that sort of wonga, there really is no viable reason not to buy this CD. Many people criticised the music style of the manics on the last album, but this sees a slight return to ‘harder’ rock, while a good mix of soft and popular style tracks caters for most tastes.
If you like the recent hits in the charts by the Manic Street preachers, then “know your enemy” is something you’ll want to get your hands on some time soon!
