Fans of 10rc may wonder what has become of the Great Hart lately. No I haven't been in a car accident or killed by rabid 2pac fans - I've been listening to Kuruption. In case you haven't heard this is the less than blockbuster album by a classic little homey - Kurupt. It has literally taken me days to listen to this album, my God it's torturous. Sometimes Kurupt is okay. When hanging with Snoop or Dre Kurupt has always been a rapper who is an interesting interlude. As far as gangsta rappers go, Kurupt is as smooth as they come. He may not have been able to fully flex his lyrical skills on Tha Dogg Pound's only album, but he certainly does so here, where his fast-talking deliveries and rhymes show the positive effects of development and age. On some of his best numbers, like "If You See Me," Kurupt traverses rhymes with wondrous ease. On "Fresh," Dog Pound partner Daz concocts a resounding beat that lets Kurupt evoke the flavor of old-school rhyming sessions. But most of the time, you wonder why Kurupt even bothers. "I Wanna" is symbolic of most of the album's vulgar flavor, heavily influenced ...
