 ... which seems to have swept the nation, I honestly think this is a must have for the collection and it has been a favourite of mine since the day it was released, with some obviously aggressive songs this album can also take u somewhere quiet and calm with out you noticing, an excellent listen! Okay, I did ask for this band to have its own section, but nothing has been done by the dooyoo staff, and I grow impatient to post reviews, so here we go. I was listening to MTV2 one afternoon and I saw a band ‘Mudvayne’ playing a song called ‘Dig’ I thought it was pretty good, the band members had gimmicks, which does suck a bit, but that’s just the way with music, these guys are the new Slipknot no doubt about it, they have the gimmicks, and they also have a fantastic album. I was urged by friends not to buy it as people who had heard it told me that it just broke down into constant screaming, and their was very little ...

Mudvayne - L.D. 50 Small town alienation has formed some of the best bands. Mudvayne are such a band. L.D. 50 is an album that is not concerned with being fashionable, after all the band have never been part of the in crowd so why start pandering to the f***wits that dictate. Heading from Illinois, USA the band have been wowing crowds from Denver to Philadelphia with few matching them for the sheer power of the beast. Perhaps its this intensity that saw Slipknot percussionist Shawn come on board as executive producer, but believe me this band are worth more than a simple name drop. Mu|Dv|Ay|Ne are a new "math metal" band from the USA; described by Mark Lamaar (on the BBC's "Never Mind the Buzzcocks" comedy music quiz) as "freaky metal American gargoyles." He was obviously referring to the band's unique imahge of facial and body art. Singer Kud (Chad Gray) has a thigh-length beard and silver face with black artwork painted on, bassist Ryknow has his face painted brown and has his hair fashioned into devil horns, drummer Spag alternates between black and white makeup or a seldom-used red body makeup, and guitarist Gurrg can usually be found with spikes in his red face.
