Newest Review: ... It's nothing a million miles away from Atomic Kitten's usual style so it will probably still appeal to big fans of the group. ... more

... ***If You Come Back To Me*** This is quite a slow and laid-back track but is still fairly catchy in the chorus. ***Believer*** This is another track that utilises the slightly breathy vocals, and like Be With You, the chorus is catchy and good for dancing to. ***Everything Goes Around*** Unlike a lot of the other tracks so far on the tracklisting, the chorus is not that catchy and seems a bit flat. In terms of tempo, it is not that dissimilar to Don't Go Breaking My Heart at times. ***Somebody Like Yo...more

Premium Review Ladies Night - Atomic Kitten: Good for having in the background when you're getting ready ... (672 words)

This was the girls' third album and was released in 2003. In terms of hits, it spawned title track Ladies' Night, Be With You, If You Come To Me and Someone Like Me (the latter was released as a double A-side single with Right Now, which featured on a previous album). ***Ladies Night*** The title track is an upbeat cover version. It is a pretty poor cover in comparison to the original as it seems to be lacking in something and is quite cheesy. However, it works well enough as a generic party type track. ***Be With You*** The vocals on this track are quite breathy, but the chorus is quite catchy and very dance-orientated. The backing ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Ladies Night is far from alright (839 words)

I have the previous two albums ? always good for the pre -night out cheese fest, but was pretty disappointed with this offering from the kittens. It starts off with a terrible cover, drones on for about 14 songs and then finishes with one of the most depressingly dull ballads ever. "Ladies Night" is awful. I?m sorry but there?s no other word for it. I quite liked "Eternal Flame", I forgave them "The Tide is High" and I even let them off "Kids in America", but now it?s time to stop. Ok, so I didn?t really like the original but there is nothing worse than a bad cover of an already bad song. Nuff said. ...  Read the complete review

I told my wife today that I was struggling to find a CD to review on here. Off she went with a mischevious glint in her eye and returned from my 4 year old's bedroom with the latest release from the annoying trio known to the masses as 'Atomic Kitten'. I was not keen, but as I profess to try anything once (within reason), I thought I would have a few listens purely for the purpose of writing this review. Atomic Kitten are Jenny, Natasha and Liz, but this has not always been the line up. Before they managed to have a number 1, Jenny's place was amply filled by Kerry McFadden until she decided that she wanted to give up her popstar life for a ...  Read the complete review

Original Soulful Beats Some songs sound contrived

Pop - 2004

Energy from the live perfomance does translate and the album is generally very good. Too many songs from 'Escapology' for my liking.

Funky dance orientated sound; better quality of vocals Couple of weak tracks; unconvincing sexuality
