Gladiator - Soundtrack
by ngen - written on 22/08/00 (Useful, 72 readings)
Rating:
I love the movie, and after listening to this soundtrack I think I love everything about the movie "Gladiator" including this soundtrack. All the musics are produced by a famous musician named Hans Zimmer, who has also produced some other famous musics used in movies such as The Thin Red Line, The Peacemaker, Mission: Impossible 2 and so on. I always love the music that can touch my spirit (of course not those hard rock and heavy metal - not for me). Some of the classical musics and easy listening can really relax my soul and relief my tense I got from the work. "Gladiator - The Soundtrack" is one of them. When I closed my eyes listening to the music (though I ...
Reservoir Dogs - Soundtrack
by shalimar - written on 22/02/01 (Very useful, 2149 readings)
Rating:
The film when released in 1992 caused controversy with its extreme violence and in some cases, copycat killings. The soundtrack on the other hand doesn't seem to reflect any of that. The cover does have a bunch of cool looking men with blood splashed in the background, yet the CD consists mainly of uplifting 70's songs. Some of them now famous and well known because of the success of the film. The soundtrack is presented as a radio station playing K-BILLY's Super Sounds Of The Seventies (something the characters in the film refer to) hence the 70's tracks. The unusually monotone DJ giving off the dialogue excerpts between each of the tracks gives this odd ...
Reservoir Dogs - Soundtrack
by Flying Dutchman - written on 03/08/00 (Useful, 310 readings)
Rating:
I picked this album up about a year after seeing the film, as it was cheap, and my sister spotted it. I took it to her flat and put it on for a short while, then drove home. Depending on your mood, you will either love or loathe this compilation. It is the perfect remedy to a hard days work or study, as it really has songs with energy, which ...
Products similar to Laid Back Latin
Nostradamus - Judas Priest
Long, intriguing, different.
Bulked out by too many interludes and slow songs.
Defenders Of The Faith - Judas Priest
More great eighties heavy metal.
Nothing new after 'Screaming for Vengeance.'
Demolition - Judas Priest
One or two memorable moments, Owens isn't a bad singer.
Slow and tedious, lacks any originality.
Even If It Kills Me - Motion City Soundtrack
A great mix of fast paced catchy songs and slower ballads
None
Ghost Opera - Kamelot
Violin used well in numerous songs, and band crawls out of the gloom of the previous album.
Songs don't stand out, and offer very little.
I Walk Among You - Iced Earth
The new song is pretty good, if nothing we haven't heard before.
Pointless overdubs of average songs with a copycat singer.
Jugulator - Judas Priest
Some effective heavy metal, with a more modern approach.
Frequently dull.
Karma - Kamelot
Arguably perfects the band's symphonic metal style.
Too cheesy on occasion, and ballads interrupt the flow.
Killing Machine - Judas Priest
Pioneers the famous Judas Priest style, with some more classic songs.
Could have been 'British Steel' with a bit more care and time.
Lunar Strain - In Flames
Strong melodic death metal in its original incarnation.
Awkward incorporation of folk elements at times, and a few too many short songs.
