Conception's debut album suffers from weak production that robs the power metal of most of its 'power,' and leaves the performance rather stilted. Nevertheless, it's relatively easy to see past this and appreciate the album for what it is, a strong debut from a band on the verge of greatness, with some very interesting and creative musical ideas.
