Why is it scary???? This compilation 8 CD box set has got so many tracks on it that if you grew up in the 80's it'll be like going back in time when you put this on - which is scary when you think that some of the tracks on here are 20 years old! It's advertised on the TV for something stupid like £30, but we managed to get ...

The main reason I ever watched the film 'Romeo and Juliet' was to see a certain Mr. DiCaprio. I can't claim I was interested in seeing how the director managed to expertly pull off 'modernising' a tragic Shakespearean love story without losing the fundamental appeal of a classic...I wanted to see Leo's writhing half naked body. But without this temporary lapse in taste on my part, I would possibly never have been as infatuated with such amazing movie and equally maybe never have been ...

Premium Review Romeo and Juliet get hip (1710 words)

A few years back in 1996 Baz Lurhman remade Romeo and Juliet, one of the greatest love stories ever told, into a hit film starring Clare Danes as Juliet and Leonardo Dicaprio as Romeo. He blended old with new, using Shakespeare’s language in a modern day setting. I actually really liked the film, I felt it was quite fresh and although it took me a few minutes to get into the language, it soon all became clear. As I was sitting in the cinema the first time I watched this film I noticed there were a few songs in the film that I really quite liked and so decided to buy it. After all, surely such a fresh and slightly quirky film had to have a soundtrack to match? Didn’t it? ...
