I am from the USA where being a Thunder fan requires some hard work since all of their later albums have never been released here. But getting to the subject at hand - "Laughing On Judgement Day" is Thunder's best work and one of the top rock albums of all time. Why? Becuase everything about it is tight, top notch, atmospheric and has flow. All 14 songs have character. Excellent production and songwriting combined with hooks, brilliant solos, and powerful vocals. For those of us that know where to find it, the best piece of news to come out of the music world this week was not the imminent break up of Steps. It was the rumour that, two years after the band split up, Danny Bowes and Luke Morley, Thunder’s vocalist and guitarist respectively are working together again. There is, as yet, no word on what their collaboration will sound like, but if it produces anything even half as good as this album, it’s not going to be too bad at all.
