Antimatter is partly an Anathema side project, occasionally featuring Danny Cavanagh and Duncan Patterson themselves, but on 'Leaving Eden' it's more along the lines of a solo project for Mick Moss. Moss provides all the vocals, electric piano and the rhythm electric and acoustic guitars in most songs, supplemented by Cavanagh's slowly screeching David Gilmour-style solos towards the end. The overall direction is minimalist progressive atmospheric rock similar to Anathema, but occasionally taken even further. At the same time, Moss' bluesy singing keeps the whole thing accessible enough even to a mainstream audience, provided they have a significant attention span, and ...
