This album was voted by top DJ's as the best dance album of all time. Nuff said. This album has it all, the beats the bass the ambience the tighter than tight productions and guest vocalists to die for. The Leftfield boys pulled Jon Lydon off the streets to snarl over one track and managed to dig Toni Halliday out of her post Curve silo to seduce the speakers on one of the most amazing collaborations of dance music history.

Bringing their love of dub and punk together with a passion for hard house and techno the producers of Leftism were on a simple rationale....make it kick, echo and kick some more. The amaxing Melt is an ideal way to start a techno house DJ set with its melancholic swells, Song of Life is a classic on its own and is worthy of heaps of praise but tracks on their own don't make magnificent albums. Every track stands out, they just stand in different areas, and that is what makes this album essential. FOrget what you have heard about dance music just reaching its peak, it happened 5 years ago with the release of Leftism.

Absolutely splendid
