Swades-heimat - Soundtrack

Premium Review Swades OST- A masterpiece! One album you should have in your ... (573 words)

Released in 2004, Swades was Ashutosh Gowariker's follow up to the oscar nominated Lagaan(2001). The soundtrack is by A.R. Rahman once again and he weaves his magic one more time! The album starts with the dreamy 'Yeh Tara Woh Tara' which speaks of stars in the sky, of hopes, of dreams and of unity among people. Javed Akhtar's lyrics are subtle yet directed at social issues. Dil Chahta Hai - Soundtrack

Premium Review Dil Chahta Hai OST- One of the best albums of the decade. (530 words)
by aadnan613 - written on 24/04/10 (Very useful, 57 readings)
Rating:

Released in 2000/01,Dil Chahta Hai created a new wave of cinema and its soundtrack wasn't too far away. The film went on to become a cult and the soundtrack is still remembered after 10 years of its release. Composed by music composer trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, the album features lyrics by Javed Akhtar. The title track 'Dil Chahta Hai' starts with the emergence of a new sound. Shankar comes behind the mike and their affinity for rock music is apparent with the composition and the musical arrangements. Dil Chahta Hai comes as a breathe of fresh air, and compels you to sway with it. Groove to the beats or play it while driving/lounging! Dependable singers Udit Narayan and ...

Star Trek: Insurrection - Soundtrack

Crowned Review ST IX: Pastorale (Lento) (1232 words)
by berlioz II - written on 13/12/07, updated on 13/12/07 (Very useful, 106 readings)
Rating:

Almost 20 years later, the Star Trek feature film series had already reached its ninth installment. Star Trek: First Contact was quite the popular hit when it came in 1996 and the distinctly darker set designs and story ideas were greeted with quite a lot of enthusiasm that distanced itself very much from the old TV series stylings. So with this, First Contact was then followed two years later by Star Trek: Insurrection that again utilized much the same approach, but largely fell back to the roots of the old Star Trek ideologies instead of centering more on the Star Trek universe specifically. The Ba'Ku are a peaceful, pastoral agricultural race who have abandoned technology as something ...
