      a good mix album

Let it happen is an album released by the punk band MxPx in 1998. It contains a massive 31 songs that were all b-sides and songs that didn't make cuts of the albums they released earlier and after. Its good to hear some of the songs through, and sure, there not the bands best songs otherwise they would have all gotten onto the albums in the first place but none the less, there are some pretty good songs on this album. The first track off the album is never learn, it is a fantastic song and could easily have been a single in itself. Its not got the best record quality and was probably a demo at first buts the lyrics are good, the instruments are organised perfectly throughout and it was a very enjoyable song. Sick boy is track number four and is actually a social distortion cover of there classic, they have done a great cover of it though and I must say that I actually prefer this version to the original one. The five songs that come at the end of the album are good to hear as they are all demo versions of some of their successful songs so its really good to see how things develop, however the songs were all still very good even as demos so its was good to see they all had potential. 1. Never Learn 2. Begin To Start 3. Swing Set Girl 4. Sick Boy 5. Oh Donna 6. Small Town Minds 7. First Class Mail 8. Can't See Not Saying 9. GSF 10. Thoughts And Ideas 11. Easier Said Than Done 12. Rock 'n' Roll Girl 13. Important Enough To Mention 14. Elvis Is Dead 15. Lifetime Enlightenment 16. Let It Happen 17. Hot And Cold 18. So Kill Me 19. Suggestion Box 20. Creation 21. Want Ad 22. Honest Answers 23. Late Last Night 24. Biased Bigotry 25. Circumstance 26. Do Your Feet Hurt 27. Move To Bremerton 28. Chick Magnet 29. Christalena 30. South Bound 31. Life In General This is a great album if you are a big fan of MxPx ad want to hear some of their extra stuff, however if your not then there isn't really much point in getting this album as its not quite as good as their actual studio releases.
