This album came crashing into the shops at the height of the punk era, 1977. At a time when the heavyweights of the scene, Led Zep, Floyd and Sabbath were more or less resting on their collective laurels and getting coked up to the eyeballs, along came this wonderfully aggressive naturalised Australian upstart, no-nonsense, 12 bar-boogie band and grabbed a flaccid rock world by the balls and dragged it kicking and screaming back into the limelight. I recently bought the video version of this, exactly the same songs and recorded at the same time just with the picture, and I immediatley liked it! Watching Angus Young throwing himself around on the stage is the show itself. The video also contains a few minutes on interview where Bon states how funny he fins this little man dressed as a schoolchild throwing himself around! But the stage isn't just the great thing, the songs all have catchy words and I have found myself singing them throughout the day.
