Premium Review Liberation Transmission - Lostprophets: Good Shoes Won't Save You This Time (1033 words)

Lostprophets formed as a band way back in 1997, more than a decade on and the band is still going strong with a fourth album set for release in Summer 2008. 'Liberation Transmission' was the third album released by the band and comes complete with a total of twelve tracks and a run time of just under 50 minutes. This I feel is the best album that the band has released thus far, it is powerful from start to finish and never do Lostprophets disappoint as a band as they blast their way through this terrific album. 'Everyday Combat' is the track given the task of opening the 'Liberation Transmission' album, given the quality of this album as a whole this is ...  Read the complete review

Lostprophets: Liberation Transmission: The first song I heard by this band was rooftops which coincidently is my favorite song because I loved that song so much I had to get the album that it was on. Everyday Combat: I loved this song the start of it got me hooked I love the chorus it is brilliant it has a catchy rhythm to it too. A Town Called Hypocrisy: I found that this was a better song than the first as it didn't get me hooked but it did make me blast it out which I only do with the songs that I like most. The New Transmission: Again another great song I loved it and I got my cousin into them too which is a big ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Liberation Transmission - Lostprophets: Lostprophets - The New Transmission (611 words)

The lostprophets are a welsh, alternative/metal band that were formed in 1997. They have produced quite a few demos, three albumns and roughly 10 singles in their band career. This album compared to their others is a little more downbeat and light hearted, with not the alternative rock and metal genre they are renowned for. In spite of this the album still has some great songs and music. When i bought the album i expected it to be metal, with some heavy rhythms and guitar, as Bob Rock had enlisted the band (Who was responsible for several metallica albums, possibly one of the greatest metal bands of all time.) BAND MEMBERS Ian Watkins ...  Read the complete review

This is lostprophets 3rd attempt and although i love them, i dont think it is the best, by far. Admittedly i do feel a bit that they are drifting toward the emo genre but i cant honeslty say that i dont like any of the tracks from this album. The tracklist runs : 1. Everyday combat 2. A town called hypocrisy 3. The new transmission 4. Rooftops (a liberation broadcast) 5. Cant stop got a date with hate 6. Cant catch tommorow (good shoes wont save you this time) 7. Everybody's screaming 8. Broken hearts, torn up letters and the story of a lonely girl 9. 4AM forever 10. For all these times son for all these ...  Read the complete review

**THE BAND** Lostprophets are a Welsh rock/emo band from Wales who formed back in 1997. After the release of this album, Liberation Transmission, the band hit mainstream success and have become very poular with countless supporters. Their music could be classed as emotional rock after this release as it is quite different to their previous style but is still good in my opinion, nothing will ever compare to 'Last Train Home' though! The current members of the band are: Ian Watkins (vocals), Lee Gaze (lead guitar), Mike Lewis (rhythm guitar), Stuart Richardson (bass guitar), and Jamie Oliver (synth, turntables and vocals). So far the band have released three studio ...  Read the complete review
