I particularly appreciate the folk rock on this track which almost gets a bit psychedelic at times. There's also a bluesy hippy sound audible on "Tam Lin" and various other songs, vocally it sounds a bit like a sweeter and more British version of Grace Slick (Jefferson Airplane).

One of the more interesting bands taking part at Glastonbury were Fairport Convention, somehow I'd never heard of them and decided to check out one of their latest albums. A remastered version of their highly acclaimed Liege and Lief was my choice for reviewing. The album is made up of a mixture of medieval sounding English folk music and upbeat Irish folk combined with progressive rock. There are songs like "Matty Groves" (probably the finest example) which tell intricate stories and where the listener benefits from listening to the song a number of times to get the full jist of it or at the very least reading the lyrics!
