What can I say? Who was this guy that made everyone stop in tracks and comment on his songs whether it was good comments or bad comments he certainly captured people because of his bizarre initial releases in the UK. My first impression when I heard Mika, on Radio 1 was, who on earth is this person, and I certainly didn't like Grace Kelly at all. As the radio station continued to promote his release, the annoying track began to suck me in and I started to have a small liking for this person, who quite clearly didn't seem to be on the same planet as the rest of us, which isn't a bad day at the end of the day. After several releases and a somewhat not instant, ... Read the complete review

Mika. You all know who he is, he is the man with the hair, the man who never knowingly sings in a low voice, the man who released the song 'Grace Kelly'. And he's 2007's Lily Allen. Except... Lily Allen, I recall, had an expressive and beautiful voice, and a great collection of songs. Mika seems oddly soulless and patronising. I'm going to skip straight into the review, because on my walkthrough each song description appears to have turned into a rant anyway. Zoinks! Grace Kelly I believe you may have met. I liked this song SO MUCH when I first heard it.... months ago. Now it's taken the same beating that Hey Ya and You're Beautiful both took at the hands of ... Read the complete review

Mika burst into the charts earlier this year with the amazing track "Grace Kelly" his style seems unique yet as you listen to his album you can pick up influences of many different bands. When I first heard "Grace Kelly" I thought it was the band Orson, until I made a point of finding the single. Now, I'm a stay at home mum more used to knowing what the Tweenies are up to rather than the music charts so I'd never heard of Mika, but his fun filled music, and voice that at times only dogs can hear, captured my interest and I found myself listening out for his next release, I was even more impressed with the fantastic "Love today" and decided ... Mika first burst onto the pop scene a little under a year ago with the infectious debut single Grace Kelly. Calling to mind a much camper Freddy Mercury at first, he has since went on to score a further 4 hit singles, including the new single Relax (Take It Easy). Its not hard to see where he takes his influence. Rather than setting trends, much of his brand of electro-pop encircles existing musical trends. You'd be hard pressed not to know the singles that are already out there, and it seems that the most recent one could be the 10th single from the album, such is the neverending rollercoaster ride that it has been on. Grace Kelly is an ... Read the complete review

Released: 5th February 2007 Total Length: 47:13 Genre: Pop/Rock The CD comes in a very bright case with cartoon pictures all over it, some of which feature in the music videos. It is a very happy CD with bright, jumpy and enjoyable songs. I love Mika and his music, whether he is gay or not. People have suspected that he is gay, but he has replied saying that he doesn't need to comment on his orientation and won't do so, leaving us wondering. The CD itself has 11 great songs. With most CDs, I love only a few of the songs, which is what makes me buy them. However, with Mika's latest CD I love the majority of songs as they all have great ... Read the complete review
