Life on a plate was the second album from the punk band millencolin and was released in 1995. The band had already had pretty big success with their first album same old tunes and so they already had quite a few fans to please before the release of this album. The first song off the album, bullion is a very high energy fast paced song. The song is driven mainly by the fast paced drumming which is perhaps just a little too fast in parts and I feel the song could be better for a slower drum beat maybe. But none the less this is still a great song, the lyrics are good and its just the kind of punk song that I like. Friends to the end is another nice ... Read the complete review

Life On A Plate, the second album by Millencolin, Sweden’s finest softcore punk outfit, is a perfect example that America does not totally rule the punk music genre. Millencolin, hailing from Örebro, were first signed to Burning Heart Records in 1993 and have since been added to Epitaph’s list of superb artists, thus promoting them within the Punk ‘elite’. As with most popular Swedish bands the lyrics are in English and in Millencolin’s case are often odd to say the least, adding more craziness to the dope music. They have to be one of my favourite bands. Their sound is good with great vocals instead of some bloke screaming into a microphone. The songs are very different to each other which makes a bit of a change from the monotonous tunes of other punk bands. It is possible to listen to Millencolin and never get bored. I have chosen to do an op on this album because in my mind it has to be the best closely followed by Pennybridge Pioneers which I will soon be reviewing. The album consists ... Are you sick of all the poppy punk bands like blink 182 and sum 41 dominating the 'punk' headlines as of late, i for one am. That is why Millencolin are so amazing, they create a well needed breath of fresh air, and with their forth coming album 'home from home' due for realease i decided it was about time people opened their eyes and ears to Millencolin. Erik, Mathias and Nikola started the band in October 92 in Örebro Sweden, back then they were playing in other punkbands and singing in Swedish. Erik played guitar in Charles Hårfager. Nikola and Mathias had their band called Seigmenn. Larzon joined the band later in 93. After signing to Burning ... Read the complete review
