Jesu is the mellow offshoot of defunct but enormously influential Birmingham industrial band Godflesh, but the similarities are very few. The four songs on this moderate length E.P. all display a more accessible, soft and whimsical side to these performers than has ever been heard before, and while fans of Godflesh grit will likely be disappointed, this is a great little release for fans of upbeat post-rock in the style of Mogwai.
