The Sound Of The Cosmos - Tom Middleton
by Tiger Moth - written on 10/05/04 (Somewhat useful, 37 readings)
Rating:
the Party CD, followed by funking, move your butt tracks all mixed by Tom . Who apparently according to XFM is the nicest DJ in music as well as the best DJ on scene at the moment. Go out buy it and enjoy. ...

Zombies! Aliens! Vampires! Dinosaurs! - HelloGoodbye
Fantastic use of keyboard throughout the album, excellent vocals.
If you don't like one, chances are you won't like any.
The Scream - Siouxsie and the Banshees
Original for its time, highly influential
Certainly not to everyone's tastes.....
The Room's Too Cold - Early November
Hardcore - 2003
Teknowhore - Bile
More atmospheric and compelling than the previous album.
Some bizarre commercial deviations that don't sit well, and generally overlong and tedious.
State Of Control - Barren Cross
A more finely-honed performance, introducing progressive elements.
Glam tendencies remain to spoil it.
Io Sono Nato Libero - Banco Del Mutuo Soccorso
Higher production values and continuation of the classical style.
Structural problems from the first album are back in full force, spoiling all songs to some extent.
Illumination - Paul Weller
Very romantic, includes the song "It's Written in the Stars"
Not all of the songs are as good
Grind Bastard - Benediction
Catchy, riff-driven death metal, with some interesting classic rock/metal covers.
Sound is repetitive, and the album perhaps lasts a little too long for its style.
Coronation Thieves - Dragons of Zynth
Pop - 2007
Blindside - Blindside
A less aggro-centric Slipknot with slightly more musical ability.
Nothing original, merely an obvious smorgasbord of influence.
