My favourite madonna album ever is Like A Prayer (1989), ray of light comes near but for me this is madge at her best.

Like a prayer was a very controversial time for Madge, but then again when was there ever a time when she wasnt at the forefront of controversy. The video i believe was banned from being shown on MTV because it depicted madge as if she were being crucified, with the blood pouring from her hands as if the nails had been in her hand. This didnt go down very well with the Christian leaders, what spoil sports!!!!

The album includes several other hits for her such as cherish which went down much better and what a wicked tune it was. The album went on to become a very big seller for Madge maybe the publicity concerning the Like A Prayer video helped spur on sales of the album, if so im sure madge was thanking all those that objected to the video as it helped line her pockets with even more money than what she already had.
