Listening to my local BBC radio station every Saturday night from 9pm till 1am I have come to realise how good Lionel Richie is at performing some of the coolest Soul songs around!

His new album Renaissance is a perfect gift for a Mothers Day present as it contains some of the best tunes you have ever heard on one CD. 13 to be precise!

Undoubtably, the best track on the CD has to be Tender Heart. It reached 22 in the UK Singles chart but in my opinion I think it should have gone much much higher. The track combines some slow soul singing along with a twist of pop and is the ultimate sing along soul song!

Other tracks include, Angel, Cinderella, Dance The Night Away, Tonight, How Long, Dont You Ever Go Away, Wasted Time, Piece Of My Heart, It May Be The Water, Just Cant Say Goodbye, Here Is My Heart and Dont Stop The Music.

For all of you night clubbers out there, Dont Stop The Music is a great up tempo track which sounds like it should be in a club in London!

Give it a go, its easy to listen to, no banging, rocking music like todays pop singers!
