So after 6 studio albums and a greatest hits it almost seemed inevitable that the Manic Street Preachers would release an album of rarities, B-sides and unreleased tracks. What I wasn't prepared for was the album actually being as good as it is. With 35 tracks it is no mean feat that the Manic's released an album of such quality. The album is made up of 2 CD's one with the 20 B-sides, rarities and unreleased tracks and the other CD contains 15 covers that the Manic's have racked up. Still filling in the time for any proper new material from Welsh band Manic Street Preachers after a slightly dodgy greatest hits release comes an improved release of rarities, B-sides and covers. Under the title ?Lipstick Traces ? A Secret History? is a total of 35 tracks spread over 2 CDs. From a career that has began in the early 90s, before Britpop and commercial success, the Manic Street Preachers have released a total of six albums and having a great story, there is a lot of history for the band.
