Advantages: some tracks not available live elsewhere, Sabbath in their glory days

Disadvantages: sound quality not brilliant

If you like Black Sabbath, you've probably been to the Ozzfest, seen Sabbath or Ozzy in concert, or maybe you were at the Last Supper gig at the end of the last century. Whichever that may be, don't expect to hear the modern Sabbath here: what you'll hear is vintage 1973 Sabbath, at the height of their powers, still refining the material for "Black Sabbath Volume 4".

Many favourites are in tow: "Paranoid", "Sweet Leaf" and "War Pigs", all of which are still regulars in both Sabbath and Ozzy sets today, along with (at the time) new material such as "Laguna Sunrise", "Cornucopia" and a fascinating "Killing Yourself To Live", where the words are still in the process of being written. It's rounded off with "Wicked World" from the first album.

Ignore the court case about the album, the fact that Sabbath tried to prevent its release: it's a historical document, as well as a chance to hear some old favourites, and some songs they don't play any more. Worth the money? Well, I've never regretted buying it myself...
