For a very long time this short live EP was the only official live Dream Theater offering, but despite a few fantastic live albums seeing release since, Live at the Marquee remains an essential addition to the Dream Theater collection. Recorded live at The Marquee in London, on the 23rd of April, 1993 it serves as a snapshot reminder of the shock success of the European and Japanese tours. Whilst Dream Theater were already a success in the US thanks to much media hype and radio backing, European and Japanese waters had yet to be tested and the band recollect expecting to play in front of audiences 'smaller than the band'.
