Newest Review: ... - The lyrics start "I'm searching for the now, I'm looking for the real thing yeah" which was quite appropriate at ... more  ... the time of release with the expansion of the DIY ethic and every man and his dog releasing their own records and fanzines. The song makes the point that the band lurked on the outskirts of commercial punk rebellion and had a different agenda. Musically it's a mid tempo punk song with hollow guitar sounds and boxy drums; the key sound to the whole album.
No Xmas For John Quays -

Introduction --------------- Released in 1979 on independent label Step Forward Records Live at the witch trials was the debut studio album from Mancunian punk band The Fall. Despite the misleading title the album is in fact a studio recording and not a live album. The songs were recorded and mixed in London in just 2 days (apparently due to a booking mix-up). None PiL arguably at their best, Jah Wobble on bass guitar, the whole album Jah Wobble left after this album tracklist availability Contains many popular Cure hits, some new stuff, and a limited edition acoustic versions CD with some recordings that supercede the original studio versions, in my opinion Commercially biased, nary a look in to the darker side of The Cure, there's a few dud songs in there, and the inlay booklet's a bit sparse Quirky and interesting The Monkey's!
