I have quite a soft spot for the Fun Lovin' Criminals, particularly Huey, so I was quite interested to see the release of Loco, their fourth album (yes I am counting Mimosa as an album as it is fantastic). Loco, as per all their other albums is full of surprises and with a new drummer (Mackie) in tow it had to be worth a listen. 1: Where the bums go If you were ever to receive a shock from a familiar band then this is it. Everyone’s favourite gangsters return with their third album (Fourth if you count the bits ‘n’ pieces compilation Mimosa but personally I prefer not to) and their first with new drummer Mackie, the only member of the band who actually looks like a criminal. It seems hard to believe that the FLC have only been around for a few short years. They're a band stained in your conscious like Blur, the Levellers and James. They're just one of those bands that seem to have been around forever and show no signs of splitting up. Huey is a man among men, with his notorious flings with supermodels and his recent scuffle with Damon Albarn - as I've said before in print, he really is the closest we have to a real life James Bond.
