A perfect blend of rock and blues,

"Long Cold Winter" is the 2nd studio album released in 1988 by American glam rockers, Cinderella. The line-up for the album was Tom Keifer (vocals/guitar), Jeff LaBar (guitar), Eric Brittingham (bass) and Fred Coury (drums).

"Gypsy Road" is probably the best example of a perfect blues rock song I have ever heard. It is heavy and edgy, but with the flair that only a quality blues song can have.

"Don't Know What You Got (Till It's Gone) starts with a distinctive piano intro played by Tom Keifer. It is a slow, bluesy, heartfelt power ballad. While it is slower than the other tracks on the album, it still has a heavy rock feel to it which keeps it from feeling wimpy.

With a heavy rock blues feel and Tom Keifer's distinctive vocals, "The Last Mile" is a fantastic song about taking life slowly and getting out to see the world and what it has to offer. It is one of my favourite songs on the album.

"Coming Home" is another heavy, blues based power ballad. The vocals come out in an almost growl, which lends a fierce feeling to the sentiment being portrayed in the lyrics.

The mixture of glam rock and blues rock comes together in an amazing way on this album, giving it a unique, brilliant sound. Truly one of my favourite albums of all time, I just can't seem to get enough of it. The lyrics are suitable for any age, without having a 'family' feel to them. Whether you are a glam fan, rock fan, or blues fan, this is an album that will be easy to love.
