Back in 2003 I was fortunate enough to go on holiday to Australia, where whilst staying in Sydney I visited Hillsong Church multiple times. Having been familiar with the music beforehand I knew I'd love being there, and I did, even more than I expected. Since that trip I've bought the vast majority of both Hillsong and Hillsong United albums, and loved every single one. As far as Hillsong United albums are concerned though 'Look To You' is along with 'United We Stand' my all time favourite.
If you aren't already familiar with Hillsong it's an Australian church with several thousand members which produces live albums each year. Hillsong United is the youth side of Hillsong, aimed at a younger audience and consequently the songs are slightly more lively.
If you're looking to buy any Hillsong album the standard price in the UK tends to be just under £15. However you can usually pick them up, still new, on Amazon for closer to a tenner. In comparison to your regular mainstream albums this makes them a couple of quid more expensive; but I personally feel the albums are worth every penny, and if you're usually a fan of Hillsong United albums then this is no less worth the money than any other album.

A few of Hillsong's albums follow a pattern in which the first song is usually quite lively and dancey and then the last one is slower, with the rest of the songs being everywhere in between, and Look To You is one of these such albums. I think there are songs to suit most musical tastes, and for those like me who enjoy a variety of music this definately ticks that box.
There genuinely isn't a track I don't like on this album however there are three songs which are highlights to me. These are 'Look to You', 'Shout Unto God' and 'Awesome God'. The latter of these is one of a small minority of Hillsong songs that hasn't actually been written by individuals from withing the Hillsong team. Awesome God is a classic worship song used in so many churches, and I love Hillsong's cover of it. It's definately very high up in my iPod's 'Most Played' list, and deservedly so; and now I've got it stuck in my head just writing about it.
This album was released in 2005 making it now five years old. But even now I still get much listening pleasure from so many of the songs. One of the things that I love so much about Christian music such as this is that with the songs I like best I never seem to tire of them anywhere near as much as I do even with the great secular music.
For those who are familiar with Hillsong/Hillsong United this album is like every other filled with fresh, well written songs, great lyrics and fulfils every other category as well. Despite being five years old the songs are still relevant and great to listen to.
For those who are less or completely unfamiliar with Hillsong if you like lively, Christian music that is far from your traditional hyms I would highly recommend this album.
Just because Hillsong United is aimed at a younger audience there's no reason why older people won't love the songs just as much. I doubt my Mum's classed as youth, she still loves this album as much as I do!
