This band s first album No Reply is far from a worthy successor, based around mostly dull and overly repetitive rhythms, but it still makes for pleasant background music for doom fans, even if it s not as gloomy as it perhaps should be, especially in the more upbeat moments such as I Wait and the catchy, very Katatonia-esque Four Corners. Reasonable melodic death metal.
Amon Amarth are losing their touch.
|Where We Stand - Yellowcard|
Some fantastic tracks, much harder hitting than their new material.
Newer fans of the band may not appreciate the harder edge of this Yellowcard of the past.
|The Idiot - Iggy Pop|
When the Bowie magic shines through it does so superbly. An album full of great ideas.
The songs aren't always pulled off very well. Iggy's vocals are pretty dire.
