Love And War - Daniel Merriweather

After seeing Daniel Merriweather at T4 on the beach last month i immediately went to buy his album and since then have become a massive fan! If i'm being honest continously being on repeat some of the songs have become a bit annoying but after having left it for a while i have recently fallen back in love with them. I must say i wasn't a massive fan of the song he did with Mark Ronson and although it is on the album all the other songs are so good i't definitely makes up for it and more! Daniel Merriweather is an Australian singer who's been around a good couple of years. However here in the UK, the majority of us would have not heard of him until this year, largely due to his massive hit single "Red". It's become one of the most airplayed songs on the radio this year & made everyone aware of his presence. So what does the rest of his album have to offer? Many will know Daniel Merriweather as the voice of Mark Ronson's ''Stop Me'' back in 2007 but now the Australian singer/songwriter is back with his own fresh and soulful debut album. The easiest track to listen to is of course Merriweather's new single 'Red' however don't skip straight to that as ''Cigarettes'' has some powerful vocals which you wouldn't want to miss, while "Water and a flame" shows a great vocal partnership with Merriweather and fellow singer/songwriter, Adele.
