The Breakthrough - Mary J. Blige

Rating:
big fan of Mary J Blige, to be honest never really understood what shes about but listening to this album changed my whole opinion on her. Her music relates to real life, many situations which I m sure we ve all been in at some point whether it be good or bad. Most of the song names say exactly what they are supposed to sough ...

No More Drama - Mary J. Blige
by Zelie - written on 10/05/02 (Very useful, 80 readings)
Rating:
on one CD and sung in a voice that reaches into the recesses of your mind - Mary's back with big time attitude. The Queen of Hip Hop Soul, Mary J Blige has created in the "No More Drama" album a collection of strong tracks which can easily hold their own individually and which cover the emotions from A to Z. This is her 5th album and presently has racked up 13 million sales worldwide. Could all those fans be wrong? I don't think so. I am a relatively recent covert to Mary and this 2001 produced album has quickly become one which rarely makes its way back into my CD rack. You don't have to dig too deep to discover Mary's turbulent past ...

No More Drama - Mary J. Blige

After hearing the song “Family Affair” and absolutely loving it, I rushed straight out and bought the new Mary J Blige album. I’m quite into soul and RnB so I thought this album would live up to her great reputation. I got home and blasted track 2 out right away, actually I played this one song sooooo much that it was a couple of hours before I got round to listening to the rest of the album… …what a disappointment it turned out to be! Considering Mary has a great production team, including Ruff Ryders, Dr Dre and Missy Elliot, some of the songs are Goddam awful. Track 5, PMS, is in a word, terrible. Why anyone would want to write a ...

Products similar to Love And Life - Mary J. Blige
The Damned Ship ?????? - Arthemis
Fun, fast power metal.
Essentially a Helloween rip-off with Timo Tolkki guitars.
Blessed Is The Black - The Coven
Varied, talented and amusing metal from the classic period.
Confused and occasionally goes too far.
Methods Of Execution - Brodequin
Improved production and skill.
Still endlessly repetitive.
Martyrium - Antestor
Bold, and a nice incorporation of doom and death styles into traditional black metal.
Some songs are a little dull, and the last one a little preachy with its organs and thunderclaps.
Boka Vm Kaos - Arckanum
Two decent black metal songs from Shamaatae.
Only two, and hopelessly obscure.
Her Name Is Nicole - Nicole Scherzinger
Under The Blade - Twisted Sister
Excellent debut album that had a great sound to it
None
And I Love H.E.R. - Danny!
Hip-Hop & Rap - 2008
