The Stooges debut record is an impressive romp especially given the fact that it's now over 40 years old! My favourite track of the album, Ann has always reminded me of 'Alice Cooper' who were maturing as a group at a very similar time which makes for an interesting parallel. I Wanna Be Your Dog has always been considered a classic too, with its gritty guitar riff into making it a fantastic live number. The ten minute We Will Fall is also an interesting piece which is a lot darker than the rest of the album making for a good contrast. This recently remastered two disk edition is the ******** and is certainly the best version of the CD to date (interestingly there is a foreword by none other than Alice Cooper).

The second disk is composed of various alternate mixes (which don't sound a million away from the studio versions) however they are all worthy of the final studio album.

Summary: A great rock album which has just bee re-issued
