Pink a.k.a Alicia Moore is a girl with individual style. The reason I like Pink is because she is not your usual female solo artist, no blonde hair no falseness just her. She seems like a bit of a rebel but she is just doing what she loves but being different. Her music style is I suppose r'n'b but a bit different. This album is a little bit different from her debut album 'Can't Take Me Home'. She was named Pink because it's a girly colour and she is not at all girly and so her hair shows off her name.

1.MISSUNDAZTOOD-This begins with a hard beat which carries on through out the first verse. Her voice fits although this is unusual and not much of a song until the music picks up a little. This takes a while to get used to but once you listen it begins to become a catchy song although it is not seen as one at first. This song progresses as it plays and I actually quite like it.

2.DON'T LET ME GET ME-This is her second single from the album which I completely detested at the start but after times of listening it has grown on me. This is basically about Pink feeling that she wants to be someone different instead of herself for a change. The all famous line in this film is 'I'm sick of being compared to damn Britney Spears, she's so pretty that just ain't me'. I don't see what the need was in the line but maybe she felt like it at the time. This got quite high in the UK charts and has an ok rhythm.

3.JUST LIKE A PILL-This starts off with a weird sound and seems slow but the beat starts to build up into it. Pink's
voice is one that doesn't really change much so it depends on the music to make her sound really good. This seems a disappointment at first but once the chorus booms out in this song it gets really catchy and her singing is great making the chorus liven up the song a little.

4.GET THE PARTY STARTED-This is her first single fromt the album which basically gave us first impressions of the second album. It is a catchy tune and a party type of song. The title says it all and so does the video which is good. The rhythm in this song is great and gets you singing in no time. An unusual sound but a great song, this did well in the charts.

5.RESPECT-No this isn't a cover of the Aretha Franklin's hit but one of my favourite songs on the album. The music has a good rhythm and the song begins almost immediately with a very fast tune. Pink talks the verse and then she starts to sing as the song gets nearer to the chorus. It's hard to resist singing this because of the excellence of the song. Her singing is really good in this song as it goes on and I think this should be a future single.

6.18 WHEELER-This begins slowly and the music builds up a little but at quite a slow pace. This is an ok song but not a song I took an immediate liking to. Even after many listens and forcing myself to like it I still do not love it but would describe it as an ok song.

7.FAMILY PORTRAIT-This song begins with a piece of music with a good beat but her voice is not very impressive here and sounds quite horrible. The music is nothing spectacular and the song seems quite repetitive after a while. This is not a brilliant song and I usually skip it when listening to it.

8.MISERY-This starts off like an old fashioned song sort of a blues sound but it's quite a calming song. Not terrible and a different song for Pink to sing. I quite like this song because of its originality.

9.DEAR DIARY-This has a promising beginning and defin
itely keeps it up through out the song. It's the music that's good on this track, mid tempo and a good rhythm. The singing is weird and sounds like the background but it's the main vocals. I think this is a good calm song yet again.

10.EVENTUALLY-A slow start to a song which remains the same all through it. I don't think this is a great ballad because her voice goes croaky through it and these are not the best songs to show her voice off well. Not much music in the background so her voice is really what needs to make the song great.

11.LONELY GIRL-The drums begin this song which again doesn't seem very fast and quite dull. Again this is a dull song and a bit too slow. I personally feel she should have put a faster song between the slower ones to not completely bore the listeners.

12.NUMB-This is quite a weird song but it's ok, at least it isn't really slow. This is a different style for her and the song builds up mainly at the chorus. I do not love this but I think it's ok.

13.GONE TO CALIFORNIA-This is a very unusual song with a depressing background tune and the singing is not exactly anything exciting. By the title I would have expected a cheerier song but it isn't. A disappointing tune it could have been better.

14.MY VIETNAM-This is full of many drum beats which seem to last forever until some music accompanies the beats. This song is a mellow way to end the album off and not exactly terrible. Her voice is a bit better in this song.

I feel with this album Pink has experimented a lot with different music sounds but with some songs she has completely gone off her style she was good at. On some songs a change was best but some of the album is truly a disappointment. I wouldn't recommend anyone to run out and buy it but I will say the first half is really good and nearer the end the brilliance fades.
