Disadvantages: Different to other late Queen albums

This album was completed by the three remaining members of Queen following Freddie Mercury's sad departure in 1991 and is a fine tribute to possibly the best male vocalist ever. Perhaps his lack of input at the production stage explains why this is very different to other Queen albums of the late 80's and early 90's.
It is much more atmospheric and relaxing the Innuendo or The Miracle. There isn't the rock feel that came with the albums which went previously, this may disappoint some Queen fans and I must admit at first I was one of them. However on further listening I grew to enjoy the album. Too Muhc Love Will Kill You is for me the song that stands out as being great. Originally released on Brian May's solo album Back to the Light it won awards for both its music and its lyrics. My Life Has Been Saved is a more traditional Queen number and A Winter's Tale is also a great song, its lyrics help paint a picture of the scene it describes in you mind and it shows you why Mercury had one of the best voices in the music industry. Other tracks worth listening to are Let Me Live and I Was Born to Love You.
We surely must congratulate Deacon, May and Taylor on this album which is a fine achievement to compose such a hit without Mercury's input, but lets face it none of them are exactly lacking in musical talent aren't they?
