Advantages: Great dance tracks
Disadvantages: None
Hot Chip are a great UK dance band and they produce some amazingly quirky videos as well. Lead vocalist lex Taylor is a really cool guy and has a very distinctive vocal style that is very intimate in the way that it covers the music.
This dance band produce some great rhythms that have an electro pop sound to them and they are very inventive in the style of music that they produce.
Ready for the Floor is probably my favourite track on the album, it has an almost tinny electro sound and hypnotic vocals. Shake a Fist comes in at just over five minutes long and has a softer vocals to it. Not my favourite song but still pretty competent. It does have a disjointed nature to it with some spoken interludes which are not great but the change of direction to a harder edge in the middle of the song is great when you are in a club.
Hold On is a super song, it is a strong house come techno song and if you get the chance to listen to the acoustic version on youtube it is totally different.
I do love this band and they are well worth checking out if you like dance music.
