Angie Stone is an amazingly talented vocalist. Her music sends out chillin vibes, and you almost feel like you are apart of her thoughts and feelings. I know i can personally relate to her music, and theres definately a bit of something in this album for everyone. Definately one for chillin or making love too. Mahogany Soul is the follow up to 1999's Black Diamond with which Stone received much critical acclaim for her grown-up R'n'B style. With such a mature vibe, it may not surprise you to learn that she has been around for quite a while now - Stone is actually the veteran singer/songwriter who made up one-third of rap act Sequence, fronted acid-jazz band Vertical Hold, and also played a part in D'Angelo's Brown Sugar.
