Angra's progressive albums have always featured a strong ballad element, making many of their songs suitable for commercial release as independent singles without the need to contrive a shameful and uncharacteristic power ballad to appeal to non-metal fans. The main problem lies in this band's tendency to go overboard in all songs and extend them with instrumental sections and grand symphonic arrangements to what casual listeners would likely deem an unnecessary extent.
