... the oddball oompah-pah of 'House Of Moths' and the even odder 'You and Me (That's What I want)' sung by children (!). Couple Trouble (with guest vocalist) sounds like a 50's/60's vocal group but has Ginger's sense of humour dripping off the lyrics. Closer 'Shatterproof' has one of Ginger's recurring subject matters of being stronger than anything you can throw at him "To hurt me, you've got to beat me, but to beat me, you've got to kill me............. how can you kill something that will not die?" Premium Review Market Harbour - Ginger: The future's bright, the future's Ginger (193 words)

This is the most eclectic mix of styles yet on a Ginger release and completely different from his Wildhearts material genre-wise, although his unique song-writing style can be spotted a mile off. Opener is an acousticy uplifting pop tune, then the album goes through instrumentals, classic Ginger songs like 'Queen Of Leaving', the oddball oompah-pah of 'House Of Moths' and the even odder 'You and Me (That's What I want)' sung by children (!). The amazingly charismatic and outrageous frontman of The Wildhearts is back with a follow up to his critically acclaimed album, Yoni. Gingers takes a very different approach to writing his solo music which is very different from The Wildhearts. This album consists of the typical solo Ginger jangly guitar sound though it is a lot less rock 'n' roll than Yoni. The album also consists of a staggering twenty one tracks. The first track, Casino Bay, kicks off with very familiar lyrics and a very recognizable melody indeed which can also be heard on a completely different song on Ginger's first solo release, A Break In The Weather. Mostly all tracks are of a high quality., A cut above many of todays chart acts Some may find it too downbeat and melancholy.

Massive variety, hours of fun! Some not too keen on!

Great sound. A double album is available.

Heavy Metal - 2004

Further refines the band's complex sound. Post-rock and prog influences lead to inevitable problems with length.

Inches - Les Savy Fav
An excellent display of rock, a massive variety of musical genres covered all within one album. Sometimes the band is a little too experimental and creatively farfetched for its own good.

Lyfe Change - Lyfe Jennings
Couple tracks Never gets started

Machine 15 - Millencolin
A number of excellent tracks feature on this release. Not as hard hitting an album as Millencolin releases of the past.

Focus - Cynic
Heavy Metal - 1993

We're Going To Hell For This - Carpathian Forest
Honest and well-chosen retrospective. Live show is less enjoyable, due to repetitive style.

Werk 80 Vol.1 - Atrocity
Industrial style adapts well to the eighties electro pop originals. Rather pointless.

Resurrection Through Carnage - Bloodbath
Should please fans of the early Swedish death bands. At times, sounds like a cheap imitation.

Las Ruinas Del Eden - Avalanch

In Control - Nemesea

In Love And Death: Parental Advisory - Used
Riffs, Lyrics, Catchy Voice Some songs quite depressing
